Jack Frost Challenge Prizes 2022

For many, participating in the annual Jack Frost Challenge | Bougeons en Hiver is about getting outdoors, getting active, and having fun! For others, it’s about the prizes.

Whatever your motivation is, you’re in luck this year, because we have some AMAZING prizes to give away! Thank you to the generous Manitoba businesses who got involved in this year’s exciting event.

GRAND PRIZE

This year we have TWO awesome grand prizes available! Participants that complete their fair share of at least 26km during the week of February 13-19, 2022, will be entered to win this prize pack!

In a team of 5, each person must log a minimum of 26 kilometres for the team to reach the 130km threshold. Any individual who completes their fair share of 26 kilometres of outdoor activity during February 13-19, 2022, will have a chance.

Passport to Winter Fun Prize

This prize will be awarded to those who participate in one (or all) of the Passports to Winter Fun (coming soon)! To qualify simply share your achievements via social media with the hashtag listed on the exclusive passports and tagging @GreenActionCentre (Instagram or Facebook) or @GreenActionCtr (Twitter). Winner will be picked at random, you’ll receive one entry per post, so the more achievements you complete the more entries you will get!

We also hope you all take part and visit the awesome local businesses that are involved! Passports will be distributed to registered participants.

Remember to make your posts public so we can see them or send us a screenshot of your post/story! If you don’t want to share publicly, you can also direct message on your preferred platform or email your entries to kris@greenactioncentre.ca with the subject line SayFreezeMB.

Most Kilometres Individual

Awarded to the individual with the highest number of logged kilometres during the challenge week of February 13-19, 2022.

Only those who registered as solo/unaffiliated participants are eligible.

Most Kilometres Team

Awarded to the team with the highest number of logged kilometres during the challenge week of February 13-19, 2022.

Only those teams with 1-5 persons are eligible.

All teams of 1-5 participants who reach the 130 kilometre goal will receive a certificate of achievement!

Most Kilometres Workplace

Awarded to the workplace team with the highest average of logged kilometres during the challenge week of February 13-19, 2022.

This will be determined by the total number of kilometres divided by the total number of workplace participants. Teams with 1-5+ persons are eligible.

  • 8 Gift Certificates for 6 Doughnuts (48 Doughnuts) from Oh Doughnuts
  • Complimentary Sustainable Transportation Presentation/Cycling Workshop OR complimentary Bike Blender Rental from Green Action Centre (as public health restrictions allow)

Awarded to the family team with the highest average of logged kilometres during the challenge week of February 13-19, 2022.

This will be determined by the total number of kilometres divided by the total number of team members. Teams with 1-5+ persons are eligible.

Most Kilometres Kid (Under 14 Years of Age)

Awarded to the kid with the highest number of logged kilometres during the challenge week of February 13-19, 2022.

Only those who registered as under 14 years of age are eligible. Child must be registered for both the Jack Frost Challenge for Kids and 130km challenge (please enter their birth year when registering to be eligible). Kids may participate as part of a team or individual/unaffiliated.

Silver & Bronze Teams

Awarded to the second and third highest kilometre teams during the challenge week of February 13-19, 2022.

Only those teams with 1-5 persons are eligible.

Participating Schools & Classrooms

Register your school or classroom for Jack Frost Challenge for Kids to pledge your commitment to celebrating winter!
 
We will randomly select a classroom to receive the following participation prize:
 
  • A pizza or ice cream party for one class!

Classroom Snowperson or Snow Fort Building Contest

Register your school or classroom for Jack Frost Challenge for Kids to pledge your commitment to celebrating winter!
 
Email cam@greenactioncentre.ca photos of your classes Snowperson or Snow Fort built during the week of February 13-19th and we will select a winning classroom to receive the following prize:
 
  • A pizza or ice cream party for the winning class!

We are looking for creativity and there will be bonus points awarded if you can put our Green Action Centre logo in the creation!

    Hello , I want you edit the number of the participants in our team ( now we will be 5 instead of 3) , but I can’t see how to do it . Hopefully someone can help me :). Super excited to participate

    Hi, I just signed up but it said I used the wrong password when I tried to log in Km. walked. Is this because it doesnt start till the 13th? Or is there a problem with my registration. I don’t want to imput my info again if not necessary. Thanks for your reply. Brenda

      You can edit your activities with your login if you accidentally logged incorrect kilometres.

      Please email kris@greenactioncentre.ca to sort out any technology issues you are having and we will sort it out accordingly.
