The Jack Frost Challenge – Bougeons en Hiver is all about getting outside to move in the winter.
Yes, it can be cold and snowy, but with the right clothing (and layers) embracing the season can have so many positive effects on our health and well-being. Did you know, outdoor activity has benefits above and beyond those indoors? Getting outside is linked to improved mental well-being, self-esteem and mood!

How To Participate
As a GoManitoba user, simply log your trips through the month of February in your Commute Calendar. If you haven’t yet used this cool feature, learn how to Track Your Travel here.
Each time you log a trip in the Commute Calendar, you will earn points. The more points you earn, the more chances you have to win! The Jack Frost Challenge is all about outdoor activity, but we know walking and biking to work or school isn’t possible for everyone. Did you know, by carpooling and taking transit, you are more likely to up your activity level during the day? The walk to and from the bus stop is a great way to enjoy the neighbourhood, and if you don’t have your car with you during the day, you’re more likely to walk for your lunch break or an afternoon coffee. All sustainable modes (carpool, transit, cycling, walking) of travel will earn you points for the GoManitoba prizes.

Take part in the official Jack Frost Challenge in 2019! Gather a team of 1-5 and register to take part from February 3rd to 9th. As a team, you will strive to move 130 KM during that week to complete the challenge. Get out your skates, skis, snowshoes, bike or just your boots to enjoy some winter walks!
