October is over and that brings us to an end of Circular Economy Month

 

We had a great time with everyone who participated in the events over the month, and the webinars we held for Waste Reduction Week!

We toured the Forks to learn all about their ‘Target Zero’ goals

Stephanie from the Forks told us all about their recycling initiatives, their bike and pedestrian counters, and we learned all about their on-site composting! You can keep up to date with what the Forks is doing here

 

Curb Your Foodprint: A Food Waste Reduction Workshop webinar

Rescue & Reimagine: Grassroots Food Redistribution in Winnipeg panel

Advanced Composting Techniques Webinar

In this webinar, we had Kayla from the Compost Education Centre in B.C. talk about so many fun kinds of advanced composting! Kayla covered hot composting, dynamic accumulator plants, compost tea, humanure, in-situ composting and bokashi!
