Winter is once again at our doorstep, which means it’s almost time for our annual Jack Frost Challenge! This upcoming challenge will be our twelfth!

What is the Jack Frost Challenge?

The objective of the challenge is to get active during one of Manitoba’s coldest months, while participating in sustainable transportation! Those interested in participating are asked to sign up in teams of 1-5 and complete 130 kms of outdoor activities. Activities can include walking, running, ice skating, rolling, cycling, skiing and more! Not sure where to start? Try incorporating active transportation into your commute, go skating with friends, challenge another team within your workplace, go on a walk during your lunch break and more. Teams can be made up of co-workers, family members, friends or a mix! Anyone participating will be eligible to win some amazing prizes, which will be announced at a later date. We will also be doing Jack Frost for kids once again, with details on that coming in the new year!

Things to start thinking about if you would like to participate:

  1. Mark your calendars, the challenge will be February 5th-11th 2023.
  2. Find your teammates. Teams can be anywhere between 1-5 people. If you’d like to make a larger team, you can, however you will not be eligible for certain prize categories.
  3. Brainstorm names for your team!

Stay tuned for future information on prizes, events and registration! If you would like to learn more visit our FAQ page.

*Please note that registration is not currently open, that will come in the new year!
