Waste Reduction Week 2020 is just around the corner. Let’s talk about pandemic waste, food waste, e-waste + more!

Waste Reduction Week (WRW) is an environmental campaign that builds awareness around the issues associated with consumption and waste. The campaign encourages a transition to a circular economy (curious what a circular economy is all about!? stay tuned…) and promotes actions associated with waste diversion and natural resource conservation.

This year, Waste Reduction Week is taking place October 19th-25th.

Each day of the week has an assigned theme:

Get your home, business, workplace or classroom ready by performing a waste audit!

Waste audits are an effective way of addressing waste habits. Take a deep look at what you throw out to pin point areas for change where waste could be diverted from the landfill (or not created at all). There may be items you’ve missed that could be recycled or composted. Do some reflecting to figure out how you could work towards minimizing your waste stream this Waste Reduction Week!

Lucky for you, we’ve put together several tools to make the process easier!
