On Wednesday, September 11th 2024 and Saturday, September 21st 2024, Green Action Centre, Transportation Options Network for Seniors, and the Manitoba League for Persons with Disabilities will be hosting a mobility fair for older adults and people with disabilities. The purpose of these events is to showcase a variety of transportation options that seniors and those in need of mobility aids can use to maintain a healthy, independent and sustainable lifestyle.
During this free, drop-in event, attendees will have the opportunity to browse equipment, learn about transportation alternatives in the city, and receive some take-home resources. Limited refreshments will be provided. Many of the vendors will be stationed outside so be sure to wear comfortable footwear and check the weather beforehand.
