      Walkabout resources

Host your own walkabout to talk with students about walking safety

We wish we could come to every school to talk with students. But with limitations this year, here are some resources for you to host your own interactive lesson with students about walking, safe infrastructure, and neighbourhood accessibility.

      1. Watch Walkabouts 101

Here’s a short 17-min video with some info from us about how to host your walkabout.

      Watch on Youtube >>

      2. Choose a walkabout model and get walking

Pick from the three options (download them from the set of activities above)

      – Walkabout: Walkability Scores
      – Walkabout Drawing
      – Walkability Audits

      3. Use the presentation slides

We put together a set of slides for you to use to talk with students before going on a walkabout. Available as a pdf or powerpoint.
