TAKING THE GREEN CAMPUS CHALLENGE

Challenge Week is a friendly competition between students on university/and college campuses to encourage individuals to explore alternative options for transportation and waste disposal. If you chose greener commuting or reduced waste, register above.  Deadline is midnight Wednesday, October 26, 2012.

DO MORE ALL YEAR!

Using active and green modes of transportation and reducing waste brings many environmental, financial and personal health benefits.

Traveling by car is a significant source of environmental pollutants from greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, as well as a large financial burden for drivers. Reducing vehicle use reduces pollution and avoids the need for expensive new roadways and parking lots. And active transportation helps put physical activity into your day and cuts your commuting costs. Additionally, by reducing waste through re-using, recycling and composting, it is possible to reduce our impact on the environment and save money, while still living comfortably.
