Start: March 23, 2016 9:30 am

Do you think Winnipeg should have a curbside organics pick up program (AKA: a green bin program) for all residents?

Do you think Winnipeg should get caught up with so many other major cities in Canada and the US and remove organics (a valuable resource) from our landfills?

Do you think Winnipeg should be part of a movement for change in taking action towards reducing GHGs and addressing climate change?

Do you think that our soil needs help and that by composting our organic material we can replenish the soil and return valuable nutrients to the Earth?

If you’ve answered YES to any of these questions, then send a letter to your City Councillor and tell them we need to move forward on organics pick up for Winnipeg and come support Green Action Centre at the City Council meeting where the issue will be debated.

When: March 23rd @ 9:30 AM

Where: Winnipeg City Hall (Council Chamber, 510 Main Street)

What:  Green Action Centre will be presenting as a delegate in opposition to a motion to stop any and all public consultations for a Source Separated Organics program for Winnipeg Residents (Green Bin).  CCPA (Canadian Council for Policy Alternatives) will also be speaking as opposing the motion.
