It’s been two years in the making. We have had focus groups and consultations. We have pulled out our hair and stayed up all night learning new web design programs. We have a new name – and now a new website. It is finally here. Green Action Centre is launching its new website today. We hope you like the new look and easier navigation.
More importantly, our website is more interactive and responsive. The information you will get here will be updated frequently with new events, environmental news and ideas for making our lives and our ecosystems fit more harmoniously together. We hope www.GreenActionCentre.ca becomes your starting point for green living and building sustainable communities in Manitoba. Let us know what you think! E-mail us with your comments.
What’s up everyone, it’s my first visit at this website, and
post is genuinely fruitful in favor of me, keep up posting these
types of articles or reviews.
Greetings, this is a genuinely absorbing web blog and I have cherished studying many of the content and posts contained on the web site, keep up the outstanding work and desire to read a good deal more stimulating articles in the future.
What a great new look to a great resource! Congratulations Green Action Centre!
Wow! The Green Action Centre site looks awesome. I’m so glad I am a member of such a terrific organization. Keep up the great work and one-of-a-kind programming in Manitoba.
Thanks for the suggestions Katherine. We now do have a search feature. We are still working on getting recycling for bottles.
Txs for the info re greening civic election. Any chance a search feature could be added to the website? Been in MB 1 year now & still can’t figure out if or where I can take my wine bottles for refund. Think if it can be done with beer bottles, why not other types….trying to push producer responsibility in addition to user responsibility.
Hi Katherine,
There’s no refund on wine bottles in Manitoba because there is no deposit, unlike beer bottles. But you can recycle them in your blue box.,
Better yet, when you get a dozen bottles, take them to the liquor commission’s “Bottle and Cork” store and refill them for $6.29/bottle.

I love the new site. Congrats to all who worked on it and have contributed. It is so easy to navigate with so much information to help people live in a sustainable way. I especially like the “Donate Now” box clearly visible. One suggestion: Is it possible to include monthly and yearly calendars of events for people to mark dates in their agendas and on calendars in their homes?
Again, way to go. I’m looking forward to the celebration in November.
Cheers,
Marlene
Green Action Centre, eh? Love the blue logo!!! The site looks awesome!
