To celebrate Waste Reduction Week (October 21-27) we are hosting a lunchtime mini-documentary screening of CBC Marketplace’s ” “Food waste: How much food do supermarkets throw away?” followed by a short collaborative discussion on waste reduction! Attendees are welcome to bring their own lunch or pay $5 to partake in a “waste-free” lunch (package free). We will be serving a vegetarian spread of soup, bread, dips, and veggies. Dairy free and vegan options available.
The preview is FREE to attend. Bring your own waste-free lunch OR a $5 cash donation for a vegetarian lunch! Don’t forget your reusable water bottle!
Waste Reduction Week (WRW) is an environmental campaign that builds awareness around the issues associated with consumption and waste. The campaign encourages a transition to a circular economy and promotes positive actions associated with waste diversion and natural resource conservation.
