Youth are the future. But what will that future look like? Educating and empowering future generations is a key part of the work we do here at the Green Action Centre.
On Tuesday, March 21, 2023, Pathfinders with the First Nation Waste Minimization Team (FNWM) visited St. Theresa First Nation Middle School. Pathfinders delivered presentations on Traditional Ecological Knowledge to the Grade 4, 6 and 7 students. The presentations touched on the Sacred Medicines, the Seven Grandfather Teachings, and offered an introduction to sustainability and recycling. Successful waste management practices in First Nation Communities across Manitoba were also highlighted!
Pathfinders would like to thank Principal Patricia Harper for inviting us to the school, as well as all of the teachers and students for helping to make the day a great success!
