
Umair Ghantiwala is a Senior Policy Analyst with Manitoba Health, Seniors and Long-Term Care. In his role, he conducts research and analysis to make recommendations related to government policies and programs. He also provides high-level advice and guidance to departmental leadership on various issues via briefing materials, collaborates with stakeholders to establish strong professional relationships, and mentors junior policy analysts on his team. Prior to his current role, he also worked as a Policy Analyst for the Manitoba Ombudsman. He holds an MA in Public Policy and Administration from Toronto Metropolitan University, having graduated in 2022.
While his professional career is not focused on environmental sustainability, Umair is passionate about mindful consumption, human-centric city planning, and conservation. In his free time, he can be found going on walks with his family and at the gym.
