Jack Frost Mid-Challenge Meet Up

Join us February 7th from 10:00am-3:00pm for a Frosty Fête to celebrate the Jack Frost Challenge! It's a great opportunity to meet other challenge participants and get some kilometres in while enjoying the wonderful facilities at Assiniboine Park. Come find the Green Action Centre by the Duck Pond shelter for some hot chocolate, fun activities, and a chance to win a gift card to Assiniboine Park!
There will be a limited amount of skates, skis, sleds and more available from Winnipeg Trails, and Bike Winnipeg will be leading a group cycle to Assiniboine Park for anyone who wants to join! The group will be leaving from the Forks at 10:00am.
The team at Assiniboine Park will also be running a guided snowshoe at 10:00am (registration required!).
We hope to see you there!

Vermicomposting Basics
Vermicomposting can be done indoors, making this option particularly appealing for people without yards. You can’t compost quite as much as you would be able to in a backyard bin, but you may be surprised to watch how much your worms eat. The worm castings make for great house plant fertilizer.
