If you want to participate in the Commuter Challenge but don’t know where to start, we can help! Whether you’re a workplace coordinator, family team captain, or just a passionate individual, everything you need to get started is here. Resource Guide:
If you’re a workplace coordinator or team captain trying to set up your team on GoManitoba, a great place to start is our Commuter Challenge Resource Guide. It has information on how to set up a team and log a trip, along with some tips and tricks on how to get your colleagues excited about the challenge.
Using GoManitoba:
If you or someone on your team is new to GoManitoba and having trouble figuring out how to join a team or log a trip, check out this video tutorial, which should have all the information you need to get started. If you’re interested in learning more about the other features of GoManitoba, check out our full Resource Guide.
Workplace Coordinator Webinar
We will be holding an informational webinar for workplace coordinators on May 19, 2026. If you are interested in attending, please email gohappy@greenactioncentre.ca. It will be recorded, and the video will be available here shortly after the webinar.
Prize List
Of course we know the most exciting part of the Commuter Challenge is the prizes! you can find a full list of prizes as well as the prize categories here.
Posters and Social Media:
We would also love it if you could help spread the word about the challenge by hanging a poster in your office or community (make sure you have permission first!). You can find a digital poster here, and physical copies are available from Green Action Centre– just send us an email!
If you’d like to spread the word about the challenge through social media, you can download social media sized poster here. You can also tell people that you’re taking on the challenge using this template. We also have this version, which has a space to add your workplace’s logo! (alternate version for those with rectangular logos available here).
Photo Contest:
While we’re on the subject of social media, we have a Commuter Challenge photo contest! Post a photo of your commute using #CommuterChallenge2026 and tag @greenactioncentre for a chance to win a $25 gift card to a local coffee shop!
Bingo:
You could also win a $25 coffee shop gift card by filling in a Commuter Challenge Bingo Sheet! Please send all sheets to gohappy@greenactioncentre.ca by June 12, 2026. The more spaces you complete the more chances you have to win! You can find the bingo sheet here.
