For nearly 30 years, Green Action Centre has been making environmental change happen and working to help Manitobans live greener lives. First as the Recycling Council of Manitoba, then as Resource Conservation Manitoba and now as Green Action Centre, we have:

• demonstrated why recycling matters
• given hundreds of how-to-compost workshops
• helped workplaces make eco-friendly commuting choices and won the national Commuter Challenge for Winnipeg in seven of the last eight years
• delivered classroom presentations numbering in the thousands
• co-ordinated walk-to-school events for tens of thousands of children all across Manitoba.

We have championed active transportation, waste reduction, energy conservation, green building standards, vehicle emission standards, greener living and action on climate change (and more) through presentations to legislative committees, Winnipeg City Council, federal and provincial stakeholder reviews, and the Manitoba Public Utilities Board.
