Ryan brings over a decade of experience in sustainable development, spanning across environmental research, policy development, and community land use planning in Manitoba and Ontario. He holds an Honours B.Sc. in Biology and Biochemistry from the University of Winnipeg and an Honours MBA in Finance and Leadership from the University of Manitoba.

Ryan currently works at Treaty One Nations Inc. where he has focused on land use and environmental planning. He has led the development of sustainability policies, advanced collaborative land stewardship initiatives, and supported strategic planning to foster both innovation and financial stability. His background also includes research roles in restoration ecology and freshwater science, as well as leadership in community-based projects.

Ryan is passionate about providing value to his community through policy development, strategic planning, and creating resilient, sustainable organizations. After work, Ryan loves to explore the natural beauty of Manitoba and engage in Winnipeg’s fantastic local food and music scenes. He’s also passionate about giving back, often lending a hand with event planning and administration at Folklorama and the Scandinavian Cultural Centre. On game day, you can find him cheering on his beloved Winnipeg Jets—through every win and loss.
