Margaux LaCasse is a lifelong Winnipegger, passionate sailor, and committed public servant with over 15 years of experience in Human Resources at the Canada Revenue Agency. In her role as a Senior HR Policy and Program Analyst, she supports inclusive hiring practices and equitable program development in the public sector. She holds an HR Certificate from Red River College and is known for her collaborative leadership and dedication to building respectful, people-centered workplaces.
Margaux also serves as a commissioned Lieutenant (Navy) in the Canadian Armed Forces with the Cadet Instructor Cadre, where she has mentored youth for over two decades. As a certified Master Learning Facilitator with Sail Canada, she has spent 25 years coaching sailors and certifying sail coaches across the country. Her work in these spaces has strengthened her skills in leadership, communication, and community-building—qualities she brings to her role on the Green Action Centre Board.
Margaux’s personal life reflects her deep commitment to environmental sustainability and collective well-being. Alongside her family, she embraces a low-impact lifestyle that includes focusing on active transportation, maintaining a one-vehicle household, participating in the Peg City Car Co-op, composting, growing native plants to support biodiversity, and reducing energy and water use. They also own and care for an off-grid property on an island on Lake of the Woods, where they practice conservation and land stewardship.
As a parent of two young children, Margaux is passionate about modeling environmental responsibility and community involvement. She sees her work with the Green Action Centre as a meaningful way to contribute to a more sustainable and equitable future—while inspiring others, especially young people, to value, protect and care for the planet and each other.
