When you register for Bike to Work Day you not only have the opportunity to win prizes and make cycling count in Winnipeg, you also can help The WRENCH (Winnipeg Repair Education and Cycling Hub). This program make bikes and knowledge of bicycle repair available to the public and more importantly to under privileged people who otherwise would never have access to a bike.

Manitoba Public Insurance has committed to donating 50 cents (to a maximum of $ 2000.00) for each registered participant in Bike to Work Day to The WRENCH. Last year there was approximately 2500 people registered for this event and this year organizers are hoping for at least 5000.

Get yourself registered! Count yourself in, make cycling count in Winnipeg and help The Wrench to continue to help make bike available to everyone.

Don’t forget to stop by Green Action Centre’s Pit Stop located in Juba Park along Waterfront Drive at the Bannatyne roundabout. Stop by and enjoy a coffee, water, muffin, and get your picture taken for our Wall of Fame (see the fabulous folks from our Ice It To Work Day wall). Enter to win a draw prize and hang out with other friendly cyclists.

Check out the map of all the different Pit Stops located around the city.  It’s going to be a great day and a lot of fun so come and join us!
