Green Action Centre is proud to bring back Bike Everywhere Month (BEM) for its third year! Running from May 1st-31, 2023, BEM is a free event that celebrates kids on bikes. This opportunity allows kids to stay mentally and physically healthy, explore communities and nature, and burn off energy from being indoors. It’s a great time to focus on getting more kids, families, parents, and teachers back outside to take advantage of the great spring weather. It’s time to pull out the helmets, explore the bike trails, and turn a few vehicle trips into sustainable and fun rides.
What to Expect
Participation is easy – ride your bike and encourage those around you to join! Here are a few more details:
- Register to get key updates, information on workshops, and sneak peaks so you don’t miss a thing.
- Receive your free online Activity Kit via email to help kids map their ride, do scavenger hunts, challenge their skills, and more!
- Win prizes and a bike workshop! All registered participants are entered into a draw, but increase your chances of winning by sharing your most creative bike ride/errand on Instagram and tag @greenactioncentre with the hashtag #BikeEverywhereMonth!
