International Bottled Water Free Day

March 10th 2011

In 2009, University of Winnipeg became the first post-secondary institution in Canada to ban the sale of bottled water.

March 10th is Bottled Water Free Day around the world.  Join students, environmentalists and public water aficionados from across the city to celebrate water. There will be taste testing, noon hour concerts, and prizes.

The evening will feature a screening of award winning* documentary Water on the Table.

7pm – 9pm at Ekchardt-Grammate Hall.

For more information on the event see the Council of Canadians.
Read our recent blog post about bottled water.
Attend other Canada Water Week events across Manitoba, March 14-22.
