Bike Friendly Business Network launched

Amidst the fun and frolicking at Ciclovia this past Sunday, the new Bike Friendly Business Network was launched.

The program is being piloted in the Downtown and Exchange District but the hope is to extend it in future years to other areas of the city. Kudos to the 19 businesses who have already signed up (see the BFB Facebook page for details). When you see this decal in the window, you can count on access to bike parking, a bike pump or loaner lock in case you don’t have yours handy, and copies of the bike map.

Thanks to the Downtown and Exchange District BIZ for spearheading this initiative in conjunction with Bike to Work Day Winnipeg organizers. Green Action Centre was happy to be part of the planning process to get the program started.
