International Compost Awareness Week 2016

International Compost Awareness Week runs from May 1st-7th this year. Started by the Compost Council of Canada in 1995, a week-long celebration of compost is now marked every spring in countries around the world.

Compost Winnipeg Downtown Challenge

The Compost Winnipeg Downtown Challenge is on! Give your favourite office some social media attention as an incentive for them to continue composting after the Challenge ends.

Free Screening of Dirt – The Movie

The movie evening is on Thursday, May 5th at 5:30pm at the Manitoba Children’s Museum (45 Forks Market Road). Compost Day in Brandon

On Friday May 6, 4-7p.m., Samaritan House Ministries Community Garden Network and Compost Council of Canada are hosting a FREE event to kick off the 2016 gardening season at the community gardens.  Please join us for demonstrations featuring BIOMAX ULTRA Composted Manures courtesy of Premier Tech Home & Garden!  GET YOUR FREE PEPPER PLANT TO TAKE HOME!  Location: Green Futures North, 6th St N & Stickney Ave (Access off 18th St and McDonald Ave).
