Winnipeg is set to approve a new master transportation plan that may modestly improve active and public transportation options over the next two decades. Now is a good time to look at what other cities around the world are doing to step off the gas and reduce their dependence on private automobiles.

A conference in Changwon, South Korea last week organized by ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability brought together urban planners and local government representatives from around the world to discuss the best practices for Eco-mobility.  I hope someone took notes to bring back to Winnipeg.
