The results are in for Jack Frost Challenge | Bougeons en Hiver 2019 and it looks like Manitoba sure got moving.

This year’s challenge saw more people, teams, places, and prizes than ever before!

The 2019 Jack Frost Challenge had:

177 teams

578 registered individuals

481 participants

17 cities/towns across Manitoba

Together, those participants across Manitoba (We even had folks from Ontario get in on the action this year!) logged a total of 15,015 kilometres! Refer to our history page for context.

Now, I’m sure many of you took part in Jack Frost Challenge | Bougeons en Hiver to be sustainable, get active, and have fun. So prizes are just a BONUS! Right?

We had an incredible selection of prizes this year, thanks to the local businesses who made incredibly generous donations! Most Kilometres (Team)

Awarded to the team with the highest number of logged kilometres during the challenge week. 

Only those teams with 1-5 persons are eligible.

The winners for most kilometres team are Hiking Vikings with a total of 600 kilometres.

Most Kilometres (Individual)

Awarded to the individual with the highest number of logged kilometres during the challenge week.

Only those who registered as solo/unaffiliated participants are eligible.

The most kilometre individual winner is Remi Dupont, with an impressive 220.7 kilometre total! 

Most Kilometres (Kid Under 14)

Awarded to the kid with the highest number of logged kilometres during the challenge week

Only those who registered as under 14 years of age are eligible. Kids may participate as part of a team or individual/unaffiliated.

The most kilometres kid winner is Damon Wedin, coming in with 36 kilometres at the age of 9 years old! 

GoManitoba

Use the sustainable transportation app GoManitoba during the Jack Frost Challenge for an additional chance to win!

By completing actions on the app you will get entered to win a prize. For every 5 actions that you do with the app you’ll be automatically entered to WIN.

Results will be posted at a later date. Those vying for a GoManitoba prize have the entire month of February to log sustainable commutes for a chance to win. 

Best Team Name

This winning name is determined by popular vote after the challenge is over!

Funny and creative names are encouraged.
