Free public presentation on the basics of vermicomposting!

Best suited for those without access to a yard, vermi-composting is an easy and compact way that you can recycle your organic nutrients and reduce your amount of waste. This presentation will teach you the basics behind composting with worms indoors, including setting up a bin, maintaining a healthy community of worms and harvesting the finished compost. Also great for families with children or teachers looking to run a bin in their classroom: kids love the worms and it’s an up close and personal view of the process of decomposition!

Registration is through the Winnipeg Public Library. Click this link to register.

Did you know that adding organics to the landfill produces methane, a greenhouse gas 25x more powerful than carbon dioxide? By composting, you can produce rich garden fertilizer for free at home, and help save the planet to boot!
This English-language presentation is an hour and a half, and will feature time for your questions.
