Join us as we host the Placemaking & Urban Mobility: Creating Healthy & Sustainable Communities webinar. The webinar will be located in the Board Room of the Eco Centre, 3rd floor MEC 202 Portage.

Presented by The Conference Board of Canada, this webinar will provide attendees with both background knowledge and practical tools that can inform future urban planning projects and leadership decisions. Moreover, this session will help bridge the gap between health and planning professionals to work collaboratively in the process of creating healthier, more sustainable communities. • Summarize current evidence linking community design and transportation planning decisions to impacts on the population health and well-being of communities.
  • Introduce a wide range of quantitative placemaking and urban mobility indicators that can be used to help create healthier and more sustainable communities.
  • Highlight several placemaking and urban mobility project case studies from major cities in Canada.
  • Show how maps and data can be used to inform meaningful community engagement initiatives and evidence-based decisions.
