So you’ve decided to become the Commuter Challenge Coordinator at your workplace! If you’ve already registered your workplace, then you’re ready to start promoting the challenge.

To begin, you have to understand your audience. Consider how your workplace primarily communicates and what motivates your co-workers to take action. Once you’ve considered your audience, choose the mediums that will be most effective and craft the message accordingly. Whether you spread the word through gifs over slack or in a newsletter, is up to you.

Check out our Workplace Coordinator Levels to determine your plan of action to promote the Commuter Challenge. It only takes a few simple steps to become an exceptional coordinator!

Workplace Coordinator: Essentials

Send an Email – To begin, acquire your workplace’s URL. Use that link to send an email to your colleagues with information about the challenge, why they should get involved, and how to register. Check out our email template for guidance here.

Hang Posters – Next, place some posters around your office (consider the environment when printing). Find our poster options here.

Talk to People – Furthermore, spread the word. Utilize word-of-mouth promotion by bringing it up in meetings, share information at the coffee station, and pop-in to persuade your co-workers to take part.
