Workplace Awards

In Manitoba, 7,242 people registered for the challenge! We saw 498 workplaces participate in the 2017 Commuter Challenge this year, making it 70 new workplaces registered compared to last year! Every year Green Action Centre celebrates the wrap of Commuter Challenge with our workplace coordinators at an Awards Lunch. We got together to share stories and give out awards for top performing workplaces. Congratulations everyone and let’s continue to make our daily commutes to work more sustainable all year round! Below you’ll find the list of the 2017 winning workplaces for Winnipeg. To see stats on how Manitoba did this year overall check out our Manitoba results page.

Green Action Centre can help you bring sustainability to your workplace year round! See below for glimpse into our programs that can help keep up the momentum for sustainable commuting going at your workplace and help you continue to be a leader in sustainability now that the challenge has ended!

The Workplace Commuting Options:
  1. GoHappy Consulting Service: workplace commuting surveys, policy and program assessment, developing action plans, implementation assistance, behaviour change solutions, training sessions and workshops, and evaluation.
  2. GoManitoba: register with this new platform to connect with like-minded people, share your commute, save time, money and reduce congestion. Your workplace can even register for a customized sub-site for employees to find ride matches.
  3. Workplace Presentations / Bike Blender Rental: book a Green Action Centre presentation to green your workplace routine. Enhance the fun by renting our Bike Blender!
