Green Action Centre is an environmental, non-profit organization based in Winnipeg and serving Manitoba. We are a registered charity, governed by an elected board of directors, with a core group of passionate, dedicated staff. We believe in a healthy work-life balance and are proud to provide a hybrid workspace. Become a Board Member

Our Board is seeking new, collaborative, and enthusiastic Board members based in Manitoba to strengthen our capacity. The Board works closely with our dedicated staff to ensure we have effective programs and activities that enhance individual and workplace sustainability while addressing climate impacts. The monthly time commitment is approximately 4-6 hours, including monthly Board meetings from September-June and committee work. Read more about becoming a Board Member.

Current Opportunities

Manitoba’s Climate Action Team (CAT) is seeking a Policy Development Manager to play a key role in advancing climate policy solutions for Manitoba. This position will lead the development of actionable strategies and policy recommendations in the Climate Action Team’s Road to Resilience (R2R) series to support Manitoba’s transition to a net-zero greenhouse gas economy by 2050. Alongside staff, contractors, and coalition representatives, the Community Engagement Coordinator will build momentum in Manitoba through outreach and communications to mobilize action in rural, urban, and Indigenous communities to promote and advance Manitoba’s Road to Resilience Pathway.
