Considering Nitrogen in Your Tires?

Filling your tires with nitrogen is a good idea if you can’t or simply don’t check your tire pressure regularly. Checking your tire pressure monthly is still the best way to maximize your fuel efficiency and tire life. With the time between checking extended with nitrogen to 3 months, most drivers can likely get their tire pressure checked when they get the oil changed.

One draw back to nitrogen is that you will need to find a shop that carries nitrogen when you do have to add pressure to a tire. If you top up with air you lose the benefit of having chosen nitrogen in the first place. Some shops install their new tires with nitrogen and carry maintenance warranty programs for filling them when they are low.
