Month: October | Week: October 2 – 6, 2017 | Day: October 4, 2017

Register for International Walk to School month and promote walking to school for one day, week, or the whole month at your school!  By doing so, you contribute to a reduction in school traffic, increase in student physical activity levels, and increase in community social interaction.

Why Register?

  • Promote healthy lifestyle choices
  • Opportunity to have important conversations around transportation and environmental impacts
  • Entered to WIN PRIZES
  • It`s fun!

So, what are you supposed to do? Participating in IWalk could be as simple as promoting walking and biking through school announcements or newsletters, to hosting a school-wide walk, to organizing a clothing or shoe drive. Need inspiration? See our list of ideas for events and activities.

Thousands of Manitoba school children will join millions of others from over 43 countries to celebrate walking to school this October for International Walk to School Month.  Join the celebration!
