Month: May 8 – June 7, 2017 | Week: May 29 – June 2, 2017

Bike to School Month, together with Clean Air Day, gives schools a special chance to encourage students to bike, walk or skate to school.

The events are a chance to celebrate our environment by keeping our air clean, to share travel safety skills with children, to bring safety to our neighborhoods and reduce crime, to address traffic congestion, pollution and speed around our schools, and to spend valuable time with one another.

Thousands of Manitoba school children will join students from across Canada to celebrate biking and walking to school this Spring. Join the celebration!

To celebrate, we have fun FREE workshops for schools that register (on a first come, first serve basis), as well as the chance to win fun prizes for participating! If that doesn’t convince you, then participate to see the smiles on all your students faces! Reports also show that students who commute actively participate better in class (up to 40%)!
