For cities and workplaces looking to recruit millennial workers (ages 18 to 34), they need look no further than their public and active transportation network. A survey released by The Rockefeller Foundation and Transportation for America found that more than half of millennial respondents would consider moving to a city where they could easily get around by means other than driving, and 66% said high quality transportation was one of their three top criteria in choosing a location. Bottom line – they want walkable neighbourhoods and quality public transit.
