As your MP for Winnipeg South, I’m excited to invite you to a climate change consultation, hosted in conjunction with the Honourable Catherine McKenna, Minister of Environment and Climate Change on Wednesday, May 25th, at the CanadInns Fort Garry. Doors will open at 7:00 PM, and the presentation and consultation will run from approximately 7:30-9:30 PM.
Minister McKenna and I will take this opportunity to provide an update on the work taking place surrounding climate change, before facilitating discussion groups based on the topics below:
Group 1: Mitigating the effects of climate change by reducing emissions
Group 2: Putting a price on carbon
Group 3: Growing good jobs through clean technology
Group 4: Preparing our communities and protecting them from the effects of climate changeWe are interested in hearing from the many diverse viewpoints surrounding this pressing issue, and encourage everyone to pass this invitation along to friends and neighbors.
