In December 2009, the leaders of nations from around the world met in Copenhagen, Denmark to discuss climate change and negotiate a follow up treaty to the Kyoto Protocol.  The negotiations ultimately failed to produce either a binding agreement on greenhouse gas reductions or even a viable plan of action for the world to proceed on.  Prior to the meeting, Green Action Centre sent a letter to Prime Minister Stephen Harper asRCM_Copenhagen_PM_Letterking him to take steps to reduce Canada’s contribution to climate change.
